Lance-leaved Coreopsis
Coreopsis lanceolata

Found in sandhills and swamp edges of North-Central and North Florida. This is one of our most drought tolerant wildflowers that puts on a great show in the spring. By June the plant has stopped flowering, yet continues to grow and increase in size from the many germinating seedlings.

The ten inch height makes this a great border plant. A little fertilizer and water during the driest months will keep it healthy.

Mix with other short wildflowers for a unique edge. Try mimosa, Havana scullcap, spiderwort, pineland petunia and pineland pennyroyal, love grass, silkgrass, cat tongue, beach verbena, blazing star and silphium.
